Cancellation & Refund Policy

Overview

We understand that plans sometimes change.

This policy explains the general cancellation, rescheduling and refund arrangements for services and experiences provided by You Are Your Own Medicine LLC.

Different terms may apply where expressly stated at the time of booking or in a separate agreement.

1. One-to-One Sessions

You may cancel or request to reschedule a confirmed one-to-one session by contacting us at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time.

Where at least 48 hours’ notice is provided, you may:

• reschedule the session, subject to availability; or
• request a refund where payment has already been made, unless different terms were expressly agreed for a package or program.

Late cancellations

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled session are non-refundable.

At the discretion of You Are Your Own Medicine LLC, rescheduling may be permitted in exceptional circumstances, but there is no obligation to do so.

No-shows

If you do not attend a confirmed session and have not provided the required cancellation notice, the session will be considered used and any amount paid will be non-refundable.

2. Circles, Workshops and Events

For standard circles, workshops and events organized directly by You Are Your Own Medicine:

14 days or more before the event

Cancellations received at least 14 calendar days before the event are eligible for a full refund of the amount paid to You Are Your Own Medicine LLC for the relevant ticket or registration.

Less than 14 days before the event

Registrations are generally non-refundable within 14 days of the event.

However, you may request to transfer your registration to another person, subject to:

• prior notice;
• any eligibility or participation requirements for the event; and
• confirmation from You Are Your Own Medicine LLC.

Where appropriate and at the discretion of You Are Your Own Medicine LLC, credit or transfer to another eligible experience may alternatively be offered.

3. If We Cancel an Event

If You Are Your Own Medicine LLC cancels an event and does not provide a suitable rescheduled alternative that you accept, you will be entitled to a refund of the amount paid directly to You Are Your Own Medicine LLC for that event.

Where offered, you may choose instead to transfer your payment to a rescheduled event or another eligible experience.

Unless required by applicable law or expressly agreed otherwise, You Are Your Own Medicine LLC is not responsible for independent expenses incurred by participants, such as transportation, accommodation or other third-party costs, in connection with a standard local event.

4. Rescheduled Events

If an event is materially rescheduled, registered participants will be notified.

Where the new date is not suitable, available options may include refund, credit or transfer depending on the circumstances and applicable law.

5. Corporate Engagements

Corporate trainings, workshops, speaking engagements, facilitated experiences and organizational programs are governed by the cancellation, rescheduling and payment terms contained in the applicable proposal, statement of work or service agreement.

Where there is any inconsistency between this Policy and a signed corporate agreement, the signed agreement will prevail for that engagement.

6. Retreats

Retreats are subject to separate retreat-specific cancellation and refund terms.

This is because retreat arrangements may involve non-refundable deposits and commitments to accommodation providers, venues, facilitators, transportation providers and other third-party suppliers.

The applicable retreat cancellation schedule will be clearly communicated before booking and payment.

Please review those terms carefully before confirming a retreat.

7. Third-Party Events

Where You Are Your Own Medicine or its founder participates in an event organized and sold by another organization, venue, platform or partner, the organizer’s cancellation and refund policy may apply to your purchase.

8. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be returned, where reasonably possible, using the original payment method.

Processing time may depend partly on the relevant bank or payment provider.

Third-party transaction charges that are genuinely non-refundable may be treated in accordance with the terms disclosed at purchase and applicable law.

9. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or replace any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable UAE law.
