Last Updated: 21 August 2026

1. About These Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of youareyourownmedicine.co and, where applicable, your engagement with services provided by You Are Your Own Medicine LLC.

You Are Your Own Medicine LLC (“You Are Your Own Medicine”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is incorporated in Sharjah Media City Free Zone (Shams), Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

By using this website, submitting an enquiry, registering for an experience or purchasing a service where these Terms are presented to you, you agree to these Terms.

Certain services, including corporate engagements, retreats or other programs, may be subject to additional agreements or service-specific terms.

If there is a conflict between these general Terms and a signed service-specific agreement, the service-specific agreement will govern to the extent of that conflict.

2. Our Work

You Are Your Own Medicine is a human development and wellbeing company.

Our work may include:

  • one-to-one sessions;
  • coaching-informed and reflective conversations;
  • speaking engagements;
  • corporate training and workshops;
  • leadership and human-development programs;
  • women’s circles;
  • group experiences;
  • retreats;
  • facilitated conversations;
  • sound experiences;
  • breath, body-awareness or somatic-informed practices;
  • reflection practices;
  • written and audio content; and
  • other educational, wellbeing and experiential offerings.

Specific content, format, duration and pricing depend on the relevant service or engagement.

3. Enquiries and Engagements

Submitting an enquiry through the website does not create a contractual relationship between you and You Are Your Own Medicine LLC.

An engagement becomes confirmed when the applicable booking, proposal, agreement, registration or payment process has been completed as communicated to you.

You Are Your Own Medicine LLC reserves the right to decline an engagement where the requested service is reasonably determined to be inappropriate, outside the scope of the services offered, or unable to be safely or appropriately provided.

4. Fees and Payment

Fees, payment schedules and payment methods will be communicated before a paid engagement is confirmed.

Where online booking and payment functionality is introduced, applicable prices, payment terms and relevant policies will be presented during the booking or checkout process.

Any third-party payment processor may also apply its own terms and privacy practices.

Unless otherwise stated, prices do not include costs expressly identified as additional at the time of booking or contracting.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds are governed by the Cancellation & Refund Policy and, where applicable, any service-specific agreement.

Corporate engagements are governed primarily by the cancellation and payment terms contained in the applicable signed proposal, statement of work or service agreement.

Retreats may have separate retreat-specific terms.

Nothing in these Terms or the Cancellation & Refund Policy is intended to exclude or restrict rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable UAE law.

6. Participation and Personal Responsibility

Experiences may invite reflection, discussion, movement, stillness, breath awareness, sound or other experiential practices.

Participation is voluntary.

You are responsible for deciding whether a particular activity is appropriate for you and for communicating relevant concerns where reasonably necessary for safe participation.

You may choose not to participate in an exercise or may stop participating at any time.

Where an experience has specific participation requirements, contraindications or safety considerations, additional information or consent may be requested before participation.

7. No Guaranteed Outcomes

Human development, learning and wellbeing experiences are individual.

No particular personal, professional, emotional, financial, organizational, spiritual or wellbeing outcome is guaranteed from participating in services or consuming content provided by You Are Your Own Medicine.

Examples, testimonials and participant experiences reflect individual experiences and should not be interpreted as promises of identical results.

8. Professional Scope

Unless expressly stated otherwise, services provided by You Are Your Own Medicine are intended for education, human development, reflection, facilitation and wellbeing.

They are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment, psychotherapy, psychiatric care or other regulated healthcare services.

Please see the Disclaimer for further information.

9. Corporate Services

Corporate training, workshops, speaking engagements, leadership programs and organizational services may be subject to a separate proposal, statement of work or service agreement.

That agreement may establish:

  • scope and deliverables;
  • fees;
  • payment schedules;
  • cancellation and rescheduling;
  • intellectual property;
  • confidentiality;
  • participant numbers;
  • travel;
  • venue requirements; and
  • other engagement-specific conditions.

Where such an agreement has been signed, its terms take precedence over these general Terms in relation to that engagement where inconsistent.

10. Retreats

Retreats may involve accommodation, travel, venues, third-party suppliers and additional wellbeing activities.

Each retreat may therefore be subject to separate booking conditions, cancellation terms, participant requirements, health and safety information and consent documentation.

You are responsible for reviewing the applicable retreat terms before booking.

Unless expressly included, participants remain responsible for their own travel arrangements, travel documents, insurance and other personal travel requirements.

11. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, original materials made available through You Are Your Own Medicine, including:

  • website copy;
  • written content;
  • articles;
  • audio;
  • exercises;
  • reflection prompts;
  • workshop materials;
  • presentations;
  • frameworks;
  • program structures;
  • downloadable resources;
  • visual materials;
  • brand assets; and
  • other original content

are owned by or licensed to You Are Your Own Medicine LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Materials are provided for personal use or the specific agreed engagement.

You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, publish, commercially exploit, teach, adapt or substantially copy proprietary materials without prior written permission.

Nothing in these Terms represents that any particular name, phrase or framework is a registered trademark unless expressly stated as such.

12. Photography and Recording

Some in-person experiences may include photography or video recording.

Where identifiable participant imagery is intended to be captured for promotional or other purposes, appropriate notice and/or consent will be sought as applicable.

Where reasonably possible, participants may communicate that they do not wish to appear in promotional imagery.

Certain events may have separate media-consent terms.

Private one-to-one sessions or confidential group discussions may not be recorded without prior consent.

13. Confidentiality in Group Spaces

Participants in circles, retreats and group experiences are encouraged to respect the privacy of others.

However, because group experiences involve independent participants, You Are Your Own Medicine LLC cannot guarantee that another participant will maintain confidentiality.

Participants are asked not to share another person’s personal story, identifying information or disclosures outside the experience without that person’s permission.

14. External Links and Third Parties

The website may link to third-party platforms, resources, venues, providers or services.

You Are Your Own Medicine LLC is not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices or independent actions of third parties.

Any engagement with a third party may be subject to that third party’s own terms.

15. Website Availability

Reasonable efforts are made to keep the website accurate and available, but uninterrupted or error-free access is not guaranteed.

Website content or functionality may be modified, suspended or removed where reasonably necessary.

16. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, You Are Your Own Medicine LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising solely from use of the website or voluntary participation in services, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates and, where relevant, the laws and regulations applicable in the Emirate of Sharjah and Sharjah Media City Free Zone.

Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts or authorities in the United Arab Emirates, unless otherwise required by applicable law or agreed in writing.

18. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time.

The version published on the website at the relevant time will apply, subject to any separate agreement already entered into between you and You Are Your Own Medicine LLC.
